Guide To Toenail Fungus Treatment

Nail fungus, or Onychomycosis, is very common. Nail fungus develops when small organisms infect the toenails. Nail fungus develops under the toenails and it can be difficult to cure. The fungus is more likely to develop in dark, warm, and moist places. If you constantly wear shoes when it is very hot outside, you increase your risk of developing nail fungus.

So what causes toenail fungus? Toenail fungus can develop after a nail breaks, when the toe nails are weakened due to wearing tight shoes. It can also occur when people wear the same pair of shoes each day without letting them dry before wearing them. Nail fungus can also develop when a person has wet feet and does not dry them immediately and when a person cuts their toe nails too short.

The symptoms of toenail fungus include brittle nails, flakiness, toenails that are black, brown, or yellow in color. The toenails may become thick and painful and you may experience a bad scent under the nails. You should treat the fungus as soon as you notice it and keep in mind that it is contagious.

If you want to treat or prevent this condition, you should avoid wearing nylon stockings or socks. You are better off using natural wool or cotton socks. You should only wear breathable footwear and you should wash and dry your feet daily. You should never share a wash cloth with someone else because it can spread harmful bacteria.

You can treat toenail fungus with many natural remedies. For instance, you can soak your nails in a tub of vinegar and warm water for 15-25 minutes each day. You should do this twice a day if you want to eliminate your symptoms. Tea tree oil is also effective for curing toenail fungus because it is a powerful antiseptic. You can dip cotton into tea tree oil and rub it on the infected toenails. You should use this natural treatment 2-3 times a day for the best results. Alcohol is also a good treatment for nail fungus. Soak your nails in rubbing alcohol for 30 minutes a day, twice a day, and dry your feet when you are finished.

If you treat your toenail fungus with these home remedies, you will see good results. You won’t cure your toenail fungus in one day, but you should see a significant improvement in a few weeks or so.
